Drawing on his unique background as both a surgical oncologist and cancer researcher, Dr. Nishizuka founded Quantdetect, Inc. to advance the implementation of circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) monitoring based on a proprietary digital PCR probe library developed at the Iwate Medical University Institute for Biomedical Sciences.

Founding member of Quantdetect since 2021. Responsible for business development, strategic partnerships, and commercialization initiatives, leveraging more than 30 years of experience in the life sciences industry. Dedicated to expanding Quantdetect's technologies globally and creating value for patients and healthcare professionals.

Brings over 30 years of experience in corporate finance, fundraising, and M&A gained at major Japanese and global financial institutions, as well as extensive experience supporting startup companies.　Since joining Quantdetect in 2025, has contributed to the commercialization of research outcomes and the company’s sustainable growth.

Formerly served as Head of Venture Investment at Nippon Life Insurance and later as Deputy President and CFO of Sosei Co., Ltd. (now Nxera Pharma Co., Ltd.). Founded Hibiki Partners, supporting more than 160 companies through fundraising, business growth, and IPOs, with extensive experience in the life sciences sector. Involved with Quantdetect since its founding, contributing strategic expertise to support the commercialization of innovative healthcare technologies and sustainable corporate growth.
